It’s a genuinely quieter crossing than Hatta — no long lines of cargo trucks stretching into the distance, a straightforward approach road, and processing that isn’t competing with passenger vehicle volume.

This isn’t simply a quieter version of Hatta — it puts your cargo on a different road entirely. Where Hatta/Al Wajajah connects to Oman’s coastal route toward Sohar and Muscat, this crossing heads into the interior toward Ibri and Nizwa. For cargo actually destined for Muscat, Hatta is usually still the faster path.
