These are the actual terms your booking with Khaleej Cargo runs on — written to reflect standard road freight practice, not a generic legal template. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book, not after.
What We Provide
Khaleej Cargo provides road freight transport only — FTL, LTL, temperature-controlled, flatbed/lowbed, palletized, and personal effects — from Dubai to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. We do not provide air or sea freight. Where customs clearance or documentation handling is included, that scope is agreed at booking.
Booking and Documentation
You are responsible for providing accurate shipment information — cargo description, weight, value, and destination — and accurate supporting documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, and any route-specific requirements). As covered throughout our site, inconsistency between your own documents is the most common cause of border delay, and we are not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate or inconsistent information you provide.
Liability
Our liability for loss or damage to your cargo while in our care is limited to the lower of the actual value of the loss or the declared value of the goods. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from:
- Force majeure — events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to border closures, customs authority actions, extreme weather, strikes, or civil disruption
- Inherent vice — damage caused by the nature of the goods themselves, rather than how they were handled
- Improper or insufficient packing not carried out by us
- Inaccurate information provided by the shipper
These limitations exist because they reflect standard practice across the road freight industry, not because we are looking to avoid responsibility — see our cargo insurance page for how to cover your shipment beyond these limits.
Insurance
Cargo insurance is available on every shipment and is quoted separately, not automatically included. We disclose the cost and coverage before you book. Full detail is on our cargo insurance page.
Claims
If your shipment arrives damaged or is lost in transit, notify us as soon as the issue is discovered, with photographic evidence of the condition on arrival where possible. Claims reported significantly after delivery are harder to substantiate and may not be recoverable — tell us promptly rather than after the fact.
Delays
The transit ranges quoted on our route pages are realistic estimates, not guarantees. Border processing times vary with documentation, volume, and seasonal factors — see why trucks actually get delayed for the real causes. We are not liable for delays caused by border authority processing, documentation issues originating with the shipper, or force majeure events.
Payment and Right of Retention
Payment terms are agreed at booking. Where fees remain unpaid, we reserve the right to retain the cargo until the outstanding amount is settled, consistent with standard practice in the freight industry.
Prohibited and Restricted Goods
Each destination country maintains its own list of prohibited and restricted items. We check this before departure, but the shipper remains responsible for declaring the true nature of the cargo. We reserve the right to refuse cargo that we reasonably believe is prohibited, mislabelled, or unsafe to transport.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force at the time of your booking apply to that shipment; changes made afterward do not apply retroactively to shipments already in progress.
